An Update On Nothing!

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything, OR looked at any of my friends blogs! I feel horrible! SO Sorry guys! I'll catch up one of these days, really! Right now, there's not a whole lot to report, we've been so busy that we haven't had time to take new pictures to post (but I'll try to do better). It seems like Braden can sense when a camera is near and immediatly stops being cute! It's SOOO frustrating! Anyway, we've just been doing lots of therapy and Braden is getting ANOTHER new speech therapist! He has been making improvements though, he'll say "cheese" when he wants a slice of sandwich cheese (which he loves and is totally addicted to!). He is also saying "Ball" more and we KNOW he knows what it means. He's getting better at giving eye contact and will sometimes randomly come give us a hug! This is one of the things that I LOVE the most! For those of you that are mothers, imagine that your little one that you would give your life for, hardly acknowledges your presence, much less gives you affection and shows you that they love you. If you can imagine how hard it is to deal with that every day, you will understand how much one little hug means to me and SOMETIMES (rarely) I even get a kiss before he goes to bed! Braden had an appointment with a Developmental Pediatrician and they are recommending that he get physical therapy to help him to do less toe walking, cause he does it a lot! We'll see if that ever happens, it's very difficult to get more therapies for him cause they (DDD) have so many other people to help, they have to really try to "spread the wealth", which means nobody gets everything they need. But it's better than getting nothing at all! I am so grateful that we have access to these programs because there's no way Jeremy and I could pay to give Braden all the therapy he is getting! We will be walking for Autism in November, and I've sent emails of invitations for people to join with us and help our cause. Well, not much else is going on and we're just trying to survive the excruciating summer heat, and I've seen Polar Express (yes, I know it's August) so many times I think I could throw up a train! All in all, we're doing pretty good. So there's my update on nothing! :)
